Almet locks in montreal is locks company that was situated in montreal, Quebec, Canada they produce in 1980-1990 a lots of locks and had big project all over North America, Some parts are Illinois, Florida, New York most popular locations they sold and it was installed in 1980’s, unfortunately it came to an end 1992 Almet Hardware Limited, Montreal, QC Manufactures metal locks. their locks lifetime is an approx 20-25 years until parts start to break down, most common is Spring that keeping lever on upper position. in Florida case the locks are in chrome it was made specially for that project and we do NOT  carry mortise for that lock. here is some pictures for you to identify your lock.
